Organisation

The seven sections are organised using a common format.

Design

Browsers - All features have been tested with version 4 browsers including Microsoft IE 5, IE 5.5, IE 6; Opera 6; Netscape 4.7 and 6.2. Currently the only platform tested is PC using Windows operating system.

Printing - We have also tried to ensure that all pages are printable.

Plug-ins - In view of the large number of resources offered within the Learning Centre, for downloadable documents we have standardised on the portable document format (PDF) for which the freely available Acrobat Reader (or similar) is required. The user is warned in each case where a link will open a pdf document.

Javascript - Full functionality of the various interactive features within the Learning Centre pages requires that your browser has Javascript capability enabled.

Links - We have provided a mechanism by which you can choose whether links open within the same window or in new windows. Look at the top of each of the pages that comprise the seven steps.

Pages which are likely to be printed, or which have some kind of interactivity using Javascript or Dynamic HTML are sometimes always set to open in a new window. This is so that it will always be possible to return to a main section page.
