About the BeCaL Learning Centre

The BeCaL Learning Centre is a collection of ideas and resources on the broad theme of education and values and having a focus on whole school approaches to citizenship education and spiritual, moral, social & cultural education. The materials are organised around a process model of  7 steps, drawn from experience in pilot schools in Bristol.

• provide resources for trainers
• support schools in Bristol
• support schools further afield

in their efforts to develop and implement a whole school approach to citizenship education and values.

The Learning Centre is for school leaders and advisors.

The ideas and resources within the Learning Centre have been developed over a period of 4-5 years in a collaborative project between the Graduate School of Education, Bristol and several schools in Bristol.

The Learning Centre is still being developed and more resources are being continually added. Also, changes will occassionally be made to the materials in the light of user feedback.
